How to Get to Dauin from Major Cities in the Philippines

Dauin, a charming town in the province of Negros Oriental, is known for its incredible diving sites and as the gateway to diving around Apo Island. Below, we provide directions from major cities in the Philippines to help you reach Dauin Diving Center with ease:

1. From Manila

Option 1: Direct Flight to Dumaguete

  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • Airlines: Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific offer direct flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) to Dumaguete (DGT).

  • Transport from Dumaguete Airport: Once you arrive at Dumaguete Airport, you can take a taxi or private transport to our diving center in Dauin (approximately 30 minutes by car).

Option 2: Flight to Cebu and Ferry to Dumaguete

  • Duration: Flight from Manila to Cebu (1 hour) + ferry from Cebu to Dumaguete (1 hour).

  • Upon arriving in Cebu, you can take a ferry from Cebu port to Dumaguete port, and then take a taxi or private transport to Dauin.

2. From Cebu

Option 1: Ferry from Cebu to Dumaguete

  • There are two ferry options:

    • OceanJet: This ferry operates once a day at 8:20 AM, with a travel time of around 4 hours.

    • Cockaliong: This ferry operates 2-3 times a week, typically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with a travel time of about 8 hours. Be sure to check updated schedules on their website.

  • From Dumaguete port, take a taxi or private transport to Dauin (approximately 30 minutes by car).

Option 2: Flight from Cebu to Dumaguete

  • Duration: 30 minutes by flight.

  • Several airlines, including Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, offer short flights from Cebu to Dumaguete.

3. From Bohol

Option 1: Ferry from Tagbilaran (Bohol) to Dumaguete

  • Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours by ferry.

  • OceanJet operates this route daily, with ferries leaving at 10:40 AM.

  • Upon arrival at Dumaguete port, take a taxi, tricycle, or jeepney to Dauin (approximately 30 minutes by car).

Option 2: From Panglao International Airport (Bohol) to Dauin

  • If you arrive by flight at Panglao International Airport, take a taxi to Tagbilaran (approximately 30 minutes). From Tagbilaran, you can catch a ferry to Dumaguete, then continue by taxi or local transport to Dauin.

4. From Davao

Option 1: Flight to Dumaguete

  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  • Fly from Francisco Bangoy International Airport (DVO) in Davao to Dumaguete Airport. After arriving at Dumaguete, take a taxi or private transport to Dauin (approximately 30 minutes by car).

From Dumaguete to Dauin

Once you arrive at Dumaguete Airport or Dumaguete Port, you can take a taxi, rent a vehicle, or arrange transport with us to our diving center in Dauin. It's a short 30-minute drive from the center of Dumaguete to our location.
