The diving spot "Secret Corner" in Dauin is exclusively suitable for Macro enthusiasts, much like us at DDC. This is because you won't find any coral at this diving site; it's a sandy slope where large schools of fish or big marine life are rare to encounter. However, it's one of the diving spots where we've discovered fascinating cephalopod species, such as Mimic Octopus, Coconut Octopus, Mototi Octopus, Blue-Ringed Octopus, and Flamboyant Cuttlefish. It also offers other marvels for macro lovers, like hairy frogfish, Rhinopias, robust ghost pipefish, seahorses, mantis shrimps, and juvenile fish of many species that you wouldn't see in coral reef diving spots.
Secret Corner in Dauin is ideal for night dives, where you can find juveniles of various species exposed without the shelter provided by coral reefs.
NOTE from DDC: Sometimes, the current can be quite strong, so it's crucial to plan your dive timing based on tidal changes. At DDC, we are always aware of these changes to ensure safe and enjoyable dives.
